These Wayzata family pictures had to be on the water!!

The Hemme Family recently moved to a fabulous house on the water, so of course we needed to do the family pictures there. We started by walking the path by their house, made our way to the dock and then ended on their boat in the water. Speaking of the boat, you can tell by the look on the boys face that life by the water is their happy place and that is what puts the sprinkles on top of the session. 😍

One of my favorite moments from the session was when their youngest climbed up into Mom’s lap while riding on the boat for a sweet snuggle. It lead to a beautiful photo of them laughing and a nice detail of his hands and hers. Those impromptu, real moments are what I live for!!

Another thing that I thought was really special about these Wayzata family pictures, was the contrasting of the colors as we changed locations! Lush greens lined the sides of the walking path making for a pop of color for the backdrop. It then totally switched when we loaded into the boat and got onto the open water during sunset.
