As a busy mom, I know how fast it all moves. That's why when I show up for your session, I want every photo to actually feel like you. No perfect outfits required. No expert posing. Just the version of your family that already exists.
I've been photographing Minnesota newborn and family sessions for over 16 years, working with families across Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina, and the surrounding Twin Cities area.
That's why I want to deliver an in-home Minneapolis newborn photography experience that doesn't rely on a stylish wardrobe, meticulous hair, or expert posing to create beauty. Instead, we capture the beauty that's already there. The beauty you live every single day.

As your Edina and Minneapolis newborn photographer, I keep pricing straightforward. The session fee is $350 and covers your full photography experience, including prep guidance, soothing techniques, and up to 90 minutes of shooting. After your session, you choose a collection of digital images and print credit that fits your family. Most families invest between $1,100 and $1,800 total. I'm happy to walk you through the collections before you book so you know exactly what to expect.

When should we book our newborn session?
During your second trimester if you can. I'll hold your due date on my calendar and we'll nail down the actual session date once baby arrives. I keep my newborn sessions limited each month so I can give every family the time and attention they deserve, so reaching out early helps make sure I have a spot for you.
How much does a
newborn photography session cost?
The session fee is $350 and covers your full photography experience. After your session you'll receive a proof gallery slideshow, then choose from three collections starting at $750. Most families invest between $1,100 and $1,800 total.
Where do you shoot newborn sessions?
In your home, anywhere in the Twin Cities metro. Natural light from a window is really all we need, your house doesn't need to be perfectly staged or decorated. I've shot in tiny apartments and busy family homes and the photos are always beautiful.
Do you include siblings and
partners in the session?
Absolutely, and there's no extra charge for immediate family members. Some of my favorite images from any newborn session are the ones with a big brother or sister meeting the baby for the first time.
What if the baby cries, needs to eat, or won't settle?

What should we wear?
Simple, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your faces and your new baby. I send every family a prep guide before the session with specific suggestions so you're not guessing.
How long until we see our photos?
Your proof gallery slideshow is delivered within 10 to 14 days. From there you choose your collection at your own pace, no pressure.

To begin the adventure, simply share a bit about your family and the session you've envisioned using my contact form. Then, I'll be back in touch with more into and next steps within 48 hours.
2. Learn About The Experience
Next, we'll book a short, no-pressure consultation call. We will chat about all the details about the process and package options. I know you're busy, so I will keep it short!!
3. Pick Your Date to Make it Official
Once you decide I'm the photographer for you. I'll email you a link to book your due date!! Simply pick your date and pay your session fee - $350. Just like that, I'll add your due date to my calendar, and the planning will begin!!
4. Tell Me About Your Family and Vision
As soon as you've booked, I'll send you a link to your newborn portal. Here, you'll find a questionnaire to help me design your perfect session and a prep guide full of tips and tricks to prepare you for the session day.
5. Baby Arrives!!
Once your baby arrives, just give me a quick call, text, or email as soon as you can so we can lock in your session date and time. There’s no perfect or “right” time for newborn photos, but I’ve found that somewhere between 5–10 days after birth is ideal for those sweet, sleepy, squishy moments.
6. At Home, Where Your Story Begins
We’ll meet in the comfort of your home, where everything you need is close by and you can truly relax. There’s no pressure to perform, just quiet connection, tender moments, and a whole lot of love. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but I always leave space for the real, unscripted magic to unfold.
7. Gallery Delivery
Just two weeks or less after your session day, your slideshow will arrive in your email inbox!! As you watch, you'll be amazed at how many good photos came out of all those tender moments and quiet connection. All you have to do now is choose which collection you want to purchase and get those photos on your walls!!
8. Use Your
Print Credit
You get a print credit with your collection to help get those favorite images off your phone and onto your walls because your story deserves to be seen every day, not just saved in a folder.

Why Newborn Sessions are Close to Megan’s Heart
Newborn sessions matter to me because I learned firsthand just how fleeting—and important—those early days are. When I had my oldest, I thought I could handle capturing her newborn photos myself. What I didn’t consider was how birth might actually go (spoiler: it was a C-section), how exhausted I’d feel, or how much it would mean to be in the photos, not just take them. After that, booking a newborn session was the first thing I did when I found out I was pregnant with my other two. Those hazy, love-soaked, in-between moments are everything...and I want to help other families preserve them in a way that feels real, relaxed, and meaningful.
