This sweet family of five and I met on a warm, fall afternoon at Richardson Nature Center, in Bloomington to capture them amongst the changing colors of the leaves. I really love this time of year for families, as it’s still warm enough to comfortably enjoy the outdoors and everyone gets to sport some cozy fall attire.

As you scroll and look through this family photo session, you might pickup on how I like to start a family photo session – with looking and smiling at me and each other. 🙂 This typically is a great opportunity to capture that special photo for the holiday card or framed gifts of the kids for loved ones. Once I know there are loads of awesome options, we move on to the action with some more movement and spontaneity to really capture the heart of the family. The hands-on games, hugs and tickling worked well for two of the brothers, but the littlest one (who I captured in a super-sweet newborn photography session) needed a bit more convincing to show his smile.
